being part of the current youth, media is the most urgent problem....its going beyond an epidmic. i did a lil survey at my school, asked about 200 people randomly if they knew the man who was accused of planning 9/11 and was behind the 9/11 attacks (according to official reports at least) and about 60% of them didnt even know his name (i was pretty shocked at how many had no idea who was behind the attacks and ordered the attacks according to the media), out of the 40% that knew it was osama bin laden less then 10% could tell me how many planes were high jacked that day (2 for trade centers 1 for pentagon, 1 crash landed) BUT when asked whos album was named "get rich or die tryin" 90% knew it was 50 cent and when asked how many watched the news, i came back with about 15 people who watch it or read it once a week.

the numbers i got when doing my survey for highschool students shocked me to say the least. there is an extreme ignorance for world affairs and current problems that society faces, but dont worry because everyone knows the album 50 cent made and we can all tell you whos in and out of style....pitiful.

you want to talk about scary, just think about the future with a generation that the majority cant even tell you whos attacking their country and killed 2000+ people in one day.
