why do these Muslim groups hate each other so much??

Could it be with Saddam toppled that various Muslim sects are competing with take control of the rule of state in Iraq?

and with the Shiites and Sunnis being two of the major sects that they are in a hot box with just an incident like this to light a fuse of their competition for Islam law according to their conflicting interpretations of the Koran?

Kind of like the religious turned to social/poltical strife in Ireland with Catholics and Prodestants???

Ummm.

We ignore you because you need to learn basic geography.

Nothing personal.

The question I have asked twice does not pertain to geography.
And you suck as a teacher.

Nothing personal.

There, you've answered your own question. It's an age old rivalry going back to sometime after the Prophet's death, which was when the Shi'ite splintered from the Sunni.

Who was crazy enough to set the match to a civil war? Why do these two Muslim groups hate each other so much?

It's complicated, very complicated.

Who cares about who's the next Caliph? If Muslims continue killing each others off they won't have a Caliph in MacDonalds, much less the world. This is what I call a useless religious war.

Man, you're really a tool.

First you have the balls to tell the ATS crowd "Do those of you who consider yourself 'wise' ignore me because my ignorance of the religious war disgust you or something? " Because no one had answered you within a couple posts.

Awww.

You're question absolutely 'pertained' to geography as you didn't even know where you were talking about. The correct answer to your question is: Wrong damn country.

By the way, I'm not your teacher. Thanks for looking up to me though.

In order to understand the Tribal rivalries in iraq we must go as far as to learn their history.

Something that many in the western world has no desired to do.

Sunnis- They are more or less the "orthodox" Muslims and the majority of people in the Arab world. There are four major Sunni sub-sects, Sunnis follow the Hanafi doctrine.

www.sunnah.org...

Shiite – Roughly means "followers" or "cohorts" of Imam Ali, the Prophet's cousin, protégé and son-in-law. Shiites believe that Imam Ali (and his sons) should have succeeded the Prophet in running the affairs of the Muslim nation.

This is some historical facts about the population of Iraq and middle east along with some pass history for anybody interested.

Only learning the history of a country can make you understand why they are the way they are.

Hey, don't be so harsh on Sub, Back to the subject though- Who blew this shrine up? I know Iran is claiming the usual "Zionists did it" bullcrap so it's agenda doesn't enter into the now expected proxy war between Sunnis and Shiites which blows back Mr. A's delusional Mahdi world conquest plans, but who did this really? Who was crazy enough to set the match to a civil war? Why do these two Muslim groups hate each other so much?

exactly what i was thinking, why do they hate each other so much, and if there is a civil war, i sure hope our troops can pull out or something, because they will get caught up in the middle of everything and be the bad guys no matter where they turn, and i also read in the newspaper today, that they are saying it is the americans faults because they didnt provide enough protection, so one minute they hate americans and dont want them near then, then its their fault because they werent giving enough protection.when will all the finger pointing just stop, and why dont they see, its not the americans or british or any of our allies faults this happened, its the cowards behind the act who should be punished(even though they havent found them)but thats not a reality in iraq, they have iraqis killing iraqis and in return they go and kill americans, i mean i dont think our troops should even be there, but they are and they need our support,so dont go and say its their faults that this happened

Remember when they blamed Zionists for the cartoons in Denmark?
man that was funny.

Damned if you do, damned if you don't. I feel sorry for U.S. troops who have to keep order. No hope for Iraq, I see Sunnis getting killed and Iran having a new province, a coup by some Sunni general after U.S. troops leave, both groups turning on the U.S. thinking they did the attack, or permanent U.S. bases

You are definitely my hero derdeb.

The THIRD Temple

In Israel it is often said that if you have two Jews you will have three opinions! Only time will tell which of the above views is correct. These conjectures will continue to be debated until Israel is able to conduct a thorough archaeological investigation beneath the Temple Mount itself. (3)

Unfortunately, the Temple Mount presently remains under the supervision of the Waqf, the Supreme Moslem Council, and they have prevented any systematic archeological studies. In fact, the Waqf has gotten increasingly resistive to investigations of any kind on the Platform - which they consider to be a huge outdoor mosque sacred to Islam.

Who knows what events developing in the history of Jerusalem will one day change the status quo, allowing scientific investigation of the entire Temple Mount, below ground as well as above? Then, according to the hopes and dreams of devout Jews for centuries, a Third Temple can be built on the foundations of the First and Second Temples and temple worship according to the Torah restored.

I UNDERSTAND that this information and my initial question does NOT pertain to the same Shrine that was recently destroyed.

Iraq shrine bombing was specialist job: minister

Hopefully the People who's Shrine has been destroyed will start to look at more effective ways to eliminate their 'enemy' instead of their own brothers and sisters.
