What song is just too cheesy?

I was in a club in central London, England recently. In the middle of a set, th 'hilarious' DJ decided to play a loop from a song by the Backstreet Boys called 'Backstreets Back' because it was funny... but the joke was on him as it practically cleared the dancefloor of all but two guys; one of which was clearly on drugs and the other who would make Jack from Will & Grace look butch!

What song would make you have to leave the dancefloor, as it is just TOO embarrasing to be present when its played?

I'd have to say something like "Sk8er Boi" by Avril Lavigne or "Mmm Bop" by Hanson.

That song is actually called "Total Eclipse Of The Heart" I actually like that song quite a bit and don't think it's cheesy, however everyone has their opinion.

Tony Orlando probably just covered it. The original lyricist/singer is Carl Douglas (his only hit). How do I know this? Because the song freaking rocks for the cheese-factor (check out the music video - the song was never taken seriously)! :-D

As far as a song that is hard to listen to for it cheesiness: Baltimora's "Tarzan Boy" comes to mind.

I also despise Bob Seger's 'Old Time Rock and Roll', which is also very popular, like 'Total Eclipse of the Heart'. No doubt many songs I like are just as reviled by others.
