Is Sitchin still popular? I read his Twelfth Planet book years ago and was amazed at the bizarre way he translated Sumerian and the almost equally bizarre way he interpreted Sumerian and Akkadian texts. That book was useful to while away a couple of hours back then, but when I tried reading it again last year, I fell asleep midway through it.
