marsrovers.jpl.nasa.gov...

On the horizon an object I had not seen before, and I look through all the rover images.

It appears to go from one side of the tracks to the other through the time the images were taken.

What is that symmetrical object?

If i have good understand the question...the only answer i can
give is... you are looking at the bottom of the solar pannel...
and you see the reflection of the two wheels...

...all is on the point of view...

Checking with NASA - the image was taken by the rear hazcam - checking the design of the rover, the hazcams (one front & one rear) appear to be under the solar panels, attached to the chassis (I guess that makes sense, where else are they likely to be attached?! lol).

So yes, what appears to be moving is actually some kind of panel (not being a rover engineer, I don't know the technical details!) at the end of the solar panel. The movement being caught as the rover gently rolls side to side as it drives across the surface.
