www.infowars.com...

It's pretty clear to me that if "they" cannot stop those inner natures of curiosity within man, the Globalists will turn to "starving us to death", so-to-speak. Of course, who would pay a dollar per email right? Well, the ISP aka local CLEC/TELCO may just add it to your bill. With each one of us having less loot to spend, a massive campaign to create fear that the internet is being backdoor’d by Big-Brother, granting priority to the Elites in everything from newsletters, forums, to Google search priorities, cost increase of all internet purchases and services, it seems more good news is ahead on our paths to non-freedom! Let us not forget of course, that they are also allowing the existing internet hubs to slowely die out (due to natural wear and tear - a term use at the ILEC/CLEC), and thus the option to surf cheaper on internet 2 is becoming more available; albiet 100% dominated by the Globalists. Of course porn will be allowed on internet 2, just not on internet 1!

So no more talk about 9-11 but little green men and deciding what sports team has better homosexual players will never be out of the question regarding "our" fighting terror!

Several developments that are coming to the fore indicate a noticeable advance towards a government regulated, taxed and controlled system that spells doomsday for the Internet as we know it.

The first steps in a move to charge for every e mail sent have already been taken. Under the pretext of eliminating spam, Bill Gates and other industry chieftains have proposed Internet users buy credit stamps which denote how many e mails they will be able to send. This of course is the death knell for political newsletters and mailing lists.

The New York Times reports that "America Online and Yahoo, two of the world's largest providers of e-mail accounts, are about to start using a system that gives preferential treatment to messages from companies that pay from 1/4 of a cent to a penny each to have them delivered. The senders must promise to contact only people who have agreed to receive their messages, or risk being blocked entirely."

The end game is a system similar to China, whereby no websites even mildly critical of the government will be authorized.

The Pentagon admitted that they would engage in psychological warfare and cyber attacks on 'enemy' Internet websites in an attempt to shut them down. The fact that the NSA surveillance program spied on 5,000 Americans tells us that the enemy is the alternative media and that it will be targeted for elimination. Court cases are pending after the Bush administration demanded the Google search terms of American citizens.

The first wave will simply attempt to price people out of using the conventional Internet and force people over to Internet 2, a state regulated hub where permission will need to be obtained directly from an FCC or government bureau to set up a website.

The original Internet will then be turned into a mass surveillance database and marketing tool. The Nation magazine reported last week, "Verizon, Comcast, Bell South and other communications giants are developing strategies that would track and store information on our every move in cyberspace in a vast data-collection and marketing system, the scope of which could rival the National Security Agency. According to white papers now being circulated in the cable, telephone and telecommunications industries, those with the deepest pockets--corporations, special-interest groups and major advertisers--would get preferred treatment. Content from these providers would have first priority on our computer and television screens, while information seen as undesirable, such as peer-to-peer communications, could be relegated to a slow lane or simply shut out."

We see a move to demonize the Internet and tar its reputation. AOL is running ads equating Internet users with terrorists. In the next few years we may see a staged Internet shutdown which is blamed on cyber terrorists.

For the aspiring dictator, the Internet is a dangerous tool that has been seized by the enemy. We have come a long way since 1969, when the ARPANET was created solely for US government use. The Internet is freedom's best friend and the bane of control freaks. Its eradication is one of the short term goals of those that seek to centralize power and subjugate the world under a global surveillance panopticon prison.

I'm not surprised and you shouldnt be either.

The end of the internet as we know it is at hand. Its more money and power over the citizens, and less info one can avail themselves of.

I don't like defeat and this war has only just began. The battle isn’t lost yet...personally I may not be the largest shareholder in several Telco’s but myself and certain "others"are certainly high enough working as part of a large one. I also have a small business and I do not intent to sit back and see myself lose money over this. I cannot see this happen without certain terrible "issues/accidents" occurring to certain interests. There are no actual Conspiracies - only natural phenomena based on "unfortunate accidents"

This won't pass. There's too much a big anti-commercial community on the Internet, made of open-source programmers and dangerous hackers, as well as millions of file "pirates", that will never let this happen. They already know about the threat, and already waged war against corporate domination since the very beginning of year 2000. This will come out as an obvious steal to the eyes of most Internet users, and not just the radicals. And lawsuits will rain down on the industry like bombs as well.

That simply ain't gonna work... unless they implement this pay-per-use system in a more progressive and insidious strategy which would span on 5-10 years.

Here's also the chance that the Internet would be taken over by the UN within the next few years. While it's not something I'd take with enthusiasm, at least it would keep the net from going private.

Echtelion,

Nothing worse could happen than for us to allow the UN to gain any control, period. The UN = Globalists but I do agree that this sinister financial attack will span over 5-10 years.

God Bless those L33T!

i seriously doubt paying for email will ever come into play. there is too much opensource software out there allowing you if you want to make your own email servers and send/receive email without ever doing anything through your ISP. (SendMail, Squirrelmail, etc.)

as for the surveillance, it is a possibility especially since data must pass through major peering points to be broadcast everywhere else. this could be a possiblity but then again, there is alot of opensource software allowing for encryption (OpenSSL, etc.) using public and private keys.

also, there would be a HUGE amount of pissed off people if this was ever put into place. the amount of subscriptions some of these ISPs would lose from people cancelling their internet would definetly put a damper on their profits and other independent companies would step up in their place. they wont risk this happening because it is too much of a cash machine for them to just let subscriptions go.

the Linux/Unix/BSD communities are exactly the type of people that would never let this happen.
