MTV & Satanism

What the heck is up with these MTV adverts containing satanism? I've seen a couple now.. one was of some animated face growing horns and stuff and then 'the year of the goat' as the slogan underneath with the MTV logo and some demonic laughter.. the other one was some comical created hell full of humanoid type charcters getting tourtured horribly and then at the end it has the 'devil' branding the MTV logo into someone while in the background there is a pentagram with 666 all the rest of the crap..

now I know the mainstream record industry is controlled by the illuminati and that, but geez.. do they have to be so blatant with their subliminal satanic bullshyte?

the obvious answer is, why were you watching MTV anyway?

I stopped watching that lame channel a long time ago. They hardly ever show music videos just reruns of that awful Jackass show and the occasional Snoop Doggy Dogg video.

I occasionly flick to it to check out what pre-rendered american mainstream musical iconism they are brainwashing the youth of today with..

I think that cheap doll ad for mtv 2 is scarier.

I think its really to just advertise to the new wave of popularity of Wiccan and Goth (aka fake shallow people that pretend to be deep and troubled).

I stopped watching Music television when they stopped playing music....

I still watch it sometimes for the music which is hardly on anymore but it doesent brainwash me lol.

but the musicians take themselves seriously don't they?

ever watch what happens when you shove a microphone in front of them?

they always have a lot to say and they think they are so deep!

worse still they try to influence impressionable minds and they often act as an example to young people,

some example in many cases.

FYI: I watched MTV most of last night to watch for this 'satanic' stuff, and saw nothing of the sort. I saw a goofy, 80s video-game style promo for "made" but that's the only thing I saw that was out of the ordinary.

Well if it's true that there are satanic images in some of the'
MTV videos I woudln.t be all too surprised.
In the past many of your mainstream Heavy metal groups
have used pentagrams and other satanic/occult symbols
to promote themselves.
Probably one of the first may have been Black Sabbath.

That also reminds me of Led Zeppelin and their song > Stairway To Heaven.
supposedly if one plays this song backwards one can hear
a Satanic message. True or just plain bull......?

Also the group AC.\DC from Australia have been accused
of using Satanic symbols to promote their music.
Some have seen or heard Satanic references in some
of their songs like Hell's Bells,Highway to Hell etc.

It doesn't bother me personally. I don't believe in God or Satan. The antics of some of these Rock groups using satanism to shock and draw attention to themselves just
seems so puerile.
It's not a novelty anymore but a rather well worn style
like men wearing their hair long.
Today's groups should try to be more creative and come up with something new instead of trying to go back to yesterday's fashions.

Rock music has become too mainstream now.
It's no longer avant garde or solely the sanctuary of the misfits and the noncomformists.
