I like this but I'm sure(1) the government supporters will start by trying to trash the members of this group. (2) ignore their theories.
I look forward to the coming year with any luck this government will be investigated and brought to justice.

Scholars for 9/11 Truth call for verification and publication by an international consortium.

Duluth, MN (PRWEB) January 30, 2006 -- A group of distinguished experts and scholars, including Robert M. Bowman, James H. Fetzer, Wayne Madsen, John McMurtry, Morgan Reynolds, and Andreas von Buelow, have concluded that senior government officials have covered up crucial facts about what really happened on 9/11.

They have joined with others in common cause as members of "Scholars for 9/11 Truth" (S9/11T), because they are convinced, based on their own research, that the administration has been deceiving the nation about critical events in New York and Washington, D.C.

These experts suggest these events may have been orchestrated by elements within the administration to manipulate Americans into supporting policies at home and abroad they would never have condoned absent "another Pearl Harbour."

They believe that this White House is incapable of investigating itself and hope the possibility that Congress might hold an unaccountable administration accountable is not merely naive or wishful thinking.

They are encouraging news services around the world to secure scientific advice by taking advantage of university resources to verify or to falsify their discoveries. Extraordinary situations, they believe, require extraordinary measures.

If this were done, they contend, one of the great hoaxes of history would stand naked before the eyes of the world and its perpetrators would be clearly exposed, which may be the only hope for saving this nation from ever greater abuse.

This sounds quite interesting, however can you tell us who these people are? Doing Google searches on the names brings up all sorts of people, and I've no idea which ones I'm meant to be looking at. Andreas von Buelow though certainly isn't a scholar but an ex-minister from Germany, who has been saying that the 911 was very fishy for a while.

It would be nice to know where these people work, and what exactly they have to say, and what supporting evidence they can provide.

Morgan Renolds, Ph.D., was the Chief Economist for the US Department of Labor during Bush's first administration, and is now professor emeritus at Texas A&M University (source).

I think the John McMurtry spoken of is this one, from the Canadian University of Guelph. That link has a list of some papers he's put out; looks to me like he's the guy.

Madsen was a Senior Fellow of the Electronic Privacy Information Center. [2] He was a communications security analyst with the National Security Agency in the 1980s, and an intelligence officer in the US Navy. He has testified on numerous occasions before the US Congress.

James Fetzer is a distinguished University of Minnesota professor, and according to his page on their site,

He was magna cum laude in philosophy at Princeton University in 1962, where his senior thesis for Carl G. Hempel on the logical structure of explanations of human behavior won The Dickinson Prize. After being commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in the Marine Corps, he became an artillery officer and served in the Far East. After a tour supervising recruit training in San Diego, he resigned his commission as a Captain to begin graduate work in the history and philosophy of science at Indiana in 1966. He completed his Ph.D. with a dissertation on probability and explanation for Wesley C. Salmon in 1970.

And Lt. Col. Robert M. Bowman, apparently another Ph.D., was the head of the Advanced Space Programs for the Department of Defense in years past, though info on this guy seems to be more scattered around to net.

As you pointed out, Buelow is a former German Defense Minister.

Then there are a lot of idiots on this forum. Don't believe me? Check the 911 forum. They run rampant, derailing threads with absolute nonsense unimpeded.

Admins don't even care that these people do not want to bring evidence to the table, and would rather derail threads and belittle the authors. In fact, in practice, it's practically proven that admins always side with them.

Who cares if they turn the forum into a joke? Right?

With the misdeeds of the 9-11 Whitewash Commission and the allowance of the deliberate lying to them by the Defense Department Generals, and the deliberate ignoring of the willing 503 WTC 1st responders and their 19,000 pages of testimony reporting multiple explosions and demolition in the WTC, and the deliberate lying by NIST and John Gross; Surely an actual investigation into 9-11 is not too much to ask for.

Are the 3000+ victims of the 9-11 perps never to receive justice?

Just to be clear, S911T is not accepted as a credible organization in the greater 911 truth movement. The majority of the credible scholars broke off of S911T to create Scholars for 911 Truth and Justice. One of the main concerns was S911T's beliefs in the no-plane disinfo and exotic weapons theories that have no proof.

As long as S911T continues to peddle the no-plane disinfo and exotic weapon theories with no proof, they will never be taken seriously.

Dr. Bowman is the exception though.
