A chemical tanker ("Ece") carrying
phosphoric acid collided with the cargo ship "General Grot-Rowcki" in the English Channel. "Ece" is
listing heavily and might sink. 22 crew members of both ships have been rescued, but an eventual phosphoric acid spill (if she sinks) could be very
bad news for the English Channel...

The alarm was raised at around 2.20am when a chemical tanker and a cargo ship collided around 30 miles north-west of Guernsey. RAF Search and Rescue
teams and coastguards joined their French counterparts in successfully airlifting 22 crew members of both vessels to safety.
It is understood that the chemical tanker was carrying phosphoric acid, which has sparked pollution fears.

The vessel Ece, which is carrying 10,000 tonnes of phosphoric acid, is listing heavily and said to be in danger of sinking. A coastguard spokesman
said the tanker was leaking.
A French tug will attempt to salvage the stricken tanker, which is listing heavily to port.

They were lucky with the weather, making the evacuation of the crew easier. Now lets keep an eye on "Ece" and see if she sinks or not. Maybe it will
help if the religious people in here (who don´t like the idea of an phosphoric acid spill) pray to their Gods so it won´t happen? ...
Ece, be a good strong ship and don´t sink and cause a mess in the English Channel please...
