SLi System

Anyone here have an SLi system? I am working on putting one together.

Its the ability to use two PCi express graph card as one.

I don't but want one very bad. I have athlon 4000, gigabyte A8N-SLI mb and EVGA 517 nvidia 7800GT( stock core 470, mem 1100).

I Think with that much video processing power, you will need a very fast processor to keep up with them.

I would think 2 gigs of ram would be a good idea too.

I have the same motherboard, I put a 4400 dual core.

I haven't put any money in my video cards
yet. I have a 6600 with 512 ram. I have three Gig ram installed.

As mrmonsoon mentioned, I don't, but am anxiously awaiting the finances to do so. I, too, will be basing the entire build around an AMD Dual-Core cpu, as they truly hold the upper edge over current Intel offerings. With the majority of my usage being graphics and/or video related that's all the more reason for an AMD build.

In the meantime, I will try to refrain from drooling over your system, so as to avoid shorting anything out. :shk:

This is my bench, over clocked to 2.6 per core, from 2.2 each. You maybe able to see the evolution in my system. there should be four benches. In the link.

I will get my video cards in a couple of months.
