can someone adopt me for the time being?

Ok - I've been in here virtually permanently since I joined, so I'll volunteer to aid any newbie who requires the aid of a pisky.

FYI -I've been scooped.

I'll gladly take under my wing anyone who knows how to use the ATS search feature and has brass gonads. The thin skinned & sexually repressed need not apply.
An erudite foul mouth is a big plus!

Sure, I'll shoot. Well sort of...I'm at this site nearly 40 hours a week (M-F, 10am-6pm EST) and this is my 5th longterm stay at a forum. Just be open minded to the possibility of anything, but reason logically. That's all I ask.

Yes an open mind, but not so open that it falls out of one's skull. I just mean not to believe everything that comes along without logical proof.
