Truthiness Voted 2005 Word of the Year

What the....?? I didn't even know there was such an event that happens every year.

Is this the group who decides a word is even a proper word to be used? One to be included in the dictionary with a definition?

They even noted Tom Cruise as being the first public figure in the contest's 16 years as an influence on public discourse!
The group coined the term "Cruiselex" to describe such terms as "jump the couch" and "Cruisazy".
"jump the couch" means: To exhibit strange or frenetic behavior.
"Cruisazy" means: To exhibit crazy behavior.

These people surely have too much time on their hands!!
