Sanctions are not the best or the only way to persuade Iran to take notice of international concerns about its nuclear programme, Russia has said.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said a compromise offer was still on the table which could see Iran sending uranium to Russia for
enrichment.
China has also urged all parties to resume negotiations.
The UK, France and Germany are calling for an urgent meeting next month of the UN nuclear watchdog, the IAEA.
Iran says its nuclear programme is for civilian energy use only.
It sparked a crisis last week by breaking international seals on three of its nuclear research sites.
Russia and China seek Iran deal
I think its quite fair to say, that due to recent events over the last few years, everyone is paranoid about the prospect of new Nuclear weapons being
created. And i dont blame them.
Iran, Iraq and Israel all dont like each other, but Israel is the only country to thought to have a nuclear arsenal, so again, there competing in an
arms race to destroy each other. If Iran began organising a nuclear arsenal, they the tension on the other countries would intensify and ultimatly
cause a breakdown in trust and trade.
Hopefully the IAEA will be able to sort this whole mess out, as things are going these days, no-ones goverments are competent to own or even use
weapons, and in my opinion even a potato gun is too much for them!!
