The Principality of Sealand.

Sealand was founded as a sovereign Principality in 1967 in international waters, six miles off the eastern shores of Britain. The island fortress is conveniently situated from 65 to 100 miles from the coasts of France, Belgium, Holland and Germany.

Roy Bates proclaimed the island his own state. Claiming jus gentium, he bestowed upon himself the title of Prince and the title of Princess to his wife and subsequently made the state the Principality of Sealand. Roy Bates, henceforth Roy of Sealand, exerted state authority on the island and thus was an absolute sovereign. The royal family and other persons that have declared loyalty to Sealand have occupied Sealand ever since.

A company called "Haven Co." runs an internet hosting site from Sealand, and visitors are not allowed.

It has something to do with Neonazis and their obsession with finding hidden races in the artic. I think they have ties to the Vril sociey of 1930's germany and all that occultist garbage they believe in. That's all I know about these guys (the industrial complex this guy is part of has some sort of affiliation with the above mentioned groups).

...or sealand is a busy little hub for hackers, illegal websites etc. It's basically a glorified server room hooked upto the largest, fattest data pipe they can fit. Enough neo-nazi conspiracy nonsense please. It's basically a bunch of people trying to create a society where everyone is free to express their views, there's true freedom of speech etc etc...

Lord Goofus is right - no Nazis, New World order or anything like that.
It was set up to run a pirate pop radio station - no royalty payments, no liscense fees, etc, but eventually the law caught up with them. as far as that was concerned.

So if known terrorists had an email server there, would they allow this? Looks like they would. – However being 6 miles from British coast, I’m not sure how that puts them in international waters. Anyone? I’m sure if push came to shove, the UK would take it over.

They even issue passports, but I doubt any country would allow such passport to be used for entrance or visas.
