Anyone here use WSUS?

I've installed it as an upgrade on a server running Win 2000 adv Server.

But at the moment I still can't get it to work.

I'm still getting this error about the selfupdate tree:

Self Update

I've done everything to try to remedy this, ex changing the port number in IIS etx... But it still doesn't work.

We aren't running WSUS.

I did a little checking though. I found a technet "operations guide" article troubleshooting the self update tree. It was not listed in the google search. Perhaps it can help.

To ensure that the self-update tree is working properly, first make sure there is a Web site set up on port 80 of the WSUS server. Next, type the following at the command prompt of the WSUS server:

cscript WSUSInstallationDrive:\program files\microsoft windows server update services\setup\InstallSelfupdateOnPort80.vbs

If you have WSUS client self-update running on port 80 of the WSUS server, see the next section.

Also, be sure to wait an hour for changes to take effect.
