Hitler. His past as an affect on our time

Please i would like to start a conversation regarding Hitler's involment in secret socities and the suspicion that he saw the greatest of alien forms ("His eyes!..."). Cthulu maybe???

I though Cthulu was a fictional thingy-ma-bob made up by some 19th century what's-his-name guy.

But you're right - even the History Channel had a documentary on Hitler and the Occult. It never claimed he was a member of any secret societies. In fact, it seemed to me that he hated the fact that someone had secrets other than him. He had lots of people researching occultism, prophesies, and the like, but it didn't look like he did much with it.

Ok, so.....well go ahead then!

There is a connection between Hitler and other members of the Third Reich and the Vril and Thule Societies. Cthulu is the fictional creation of the 20th Century horror author H. P. Lovecraft. I'm not aware of any Hitler/Cthulu connection. This misconception may be arrising from the fact that the Vril Society was named after a fictional form of energy described in the 1870 science fiction novel "Vril: The Power of the Coming Race" by Edward Bulwer-Lytton.

But, also, the connection between Hitler and Thule is two fold. Thule, and any theosophical society really, laid part of the common groundwork for hitler's aryan idea (but I don't think that they were actually all that influential in spreading the ideas amoung the public in the first place, so its a question of relevance there). Hitler was apparently a member of Thule, and the society supported him. I don't think it can be seriously claimed that they were responsible for him comming to power. That was the german voters, who were largely concerned about, amoug other things, a jewish conspiracy and a NWO conspiracy.

Once in power, Hitler outlawed Thule and threw its members into camps.

So those are the two connections, association and then he arrested them.

I have posted this before.. but for an idea how the Nazi's thought about Occult groups etc.. here is a scan of the paper of arrest and commitment of Karl Germer to a Nazi Concentration Camp on Feb. 13, 1935 e.v. on the Grounds (Grunde) of having continued communication with Aleister Crowley (Highgrade Freemason Hochgradfreimaurer) and for seeking students for his teachings.

Karl Germer was the head of the German branch of the O.T.O. at the time. He later got out and became the head of the US O.T.O. and after the death of Crowley became the head of the O.T.O.

This is not a very good scan, and I had some problems figuring out what some letters are, but this is what I got.

Not to get off topic here, but this is disputed. The modern Caliphate claims that Germer was a X° O.T.O., and was both once Grand Master in Germany and the United States. However, evidence exists that Germer was never a X°, nor did he want to be one. He was heavily involved in A.'.A.'. activity, but some of his writings indicate that he was not impressed with O.T.O., and had no desire to continue association with it. Indeed, according to Koenig's website, Germer had in mind to create an entirely new Thelemic organization without any tie to O.T.O.

And for the record, Koenig also thinks Crowley was kicked out of the O.T.O. thus there is no way he could of gave the X° to Germer. As evidence he presents some letters bettween Crowley and Ruess... And it sure looks that way until you notice that he neglects to show the letters in chronological order. Anyway Koenig's site is kinda our version of Freemasonry watch and IMHO should be read that way.

And quickly, in the last several years of his life Germer suffered from a bad case of paranoia, he believed that the government was out to get him and that they basically infiltrated the O.T.O. Thats when he really stopped doing O.T.O. stuff.
