Real player knocked off my ITunes!

Im not sure how... but the very instant I re-installed Real-Player. ITunes ceased to function.

Whenever I attempt to start it, it asks me to ensure Itunes has been installed properly.

I remember when RealPlayer was installing, it requested me to assign all file extensions to RealPlayer instead of Itunes... I denied it, and it seemed to continue to do some work in the background regardless.

I dont have any proof yet, but I think Real Media purposely screws with Itunes.

I know for a fact that installing Real software bumraped my machine a year or two ago... any other media software ceased to work effectively, and it had a fun habit of spontaneously downloading streaming videos...

Well, it seems it wasnt ITunes it attacked directly.

It appears as though Real Players installation messed with Quick Time. Quick time is essential to ITunes.

I'll let ya know anything else, should I come across it.

Does this apply to Apple computers? I have Real Player for OS X and it hasn't messed with any other media player (iTunes, Quicktime, WMP, etc.). Maybe Real Player just has their coding screwed up (or on purpose), that affects the way Windows has files and folders on the disk...just a thought.
