Freemasons in music

Anyone know what the story is behind the band Freemasons..
Imagine my surprise when I went to find out who sang this song that I loved and found out it was released by the Freemasons.. so who knows something about this group Their single is called love on my mind..

Music is a very persuasive tool... could this be innocent or perhaps there is more to the music then just a writer selling a song.

Seriously though.. I did notice some symbolism in one of the publicity shots I saw.. the checkerboard floor.. so they are going beyond just a name..
