December 23 ????

I know this sounds strange, but I have had two people that do not have Internet services ask me to see if something is going to happen on December 23? Does anybody know anything about this? The nearest thing I could find was Mayan calendar ends on December 21, 2012? :shk:

No year was given by these people, only that date. I can't figure it out.
