i'm not a specialist, but some physics memories are coming back to me suddenly.
if it's a ballon, how can it stays for so long at the same place keeping in mind that the thing is flying so high in the sky with high winds. it must be quiped with high power type of reactors. is it common on balloons? i seriously don't know.
another thing is the fact that it disappeared in 10 min. well then it must have been flying away pretty fast. not sure except if a great sky wind blew at the same time.
so i am not sure about the ballon theory, and i'm happy to believe that it was something else.

if i said some things that don't make sense, please let me know

perhaps it was a kite (as in man made flying canvass contraption - and not the bird.)

yeah, exactly the type i was thinking off, i would image anything that high up or rather far away would disapear as it moved from side to side up down etc.

It looks to me what you have here is an US Army pilotless drone.... I wish I could find the link to one... but basically it's an hour glass shaped helicopter with two counter rotating propellers... one on the top and one on the bottom....

National regulations should be imposed on weather balloons. Bright orange with a flashing beacon and the ballon has to be Made to certain specs. lol

Doesnt appear to be a baloon though
