Location...central North Carolina.
Last few years accelerating drought. Last year catagorized EXCEPTIONAL, highest level above extreme.
Lakes almost dry, rivers almost or became dry, water rationing and controls. Some cities almost without any source. Record dry spell, record water
table levels.
THEN...
End of last year, massive ice storm. Inches of ice blanket everything. Power out for almost 2 million people for many days, below freezing temps.
Since then,...rain,rain,rain. Expected to blow-out-of-the-water (pun intended) all record anual rainfall measurments going back over 100 years, by
years end.
