Red Chinese Flag Flying High Over Wall St.

I just walked by the NYSE on the way to work and lo and behold the red Chinese flag was flying right next to the American flag apparently for the IPO of Suntech.

Makes me sick...

There should be more people like you in the custody of Iraqi insurgents, instead of peaceful activists... but that would be a world where there's still Justice. A world without fascist dictators like your President, his Vice-President and his Attorney. A utopian world that I enjoy dreaming about, even if I usually prefer fighting the POWER and all the frightened zealots who usually hide behind flags and crosses.

My daughters company flies the Swiss flag next to the American flag.

I dont see a problem with it.

I wouldn't have a problem with the Swiss flag, but the communist flag of red china I could do without.

You cant ban one without the other, remember China is our "friend" these days. If they were flying it over the American flag or by itsself I could understand your concern

It's a pretty common practice to do that with certain IPOs and you gotta remember that China with over a billion people is a pretty large entity in the Global market. I'm not surprised to see that at all.

If it was NK or Iran flying up there, yeah then I'd be shocked... but China in 2005? Not so shocking.

Huh? So what? Its not even legal to fly the american flag above other flags, so whats the difference? Its just a flag. Its a chinese company.

I can't see anything to get sick over. Its ironic, of course, that the communist chinese are involved with the NYSE anyway, but hell, they're in the WTO, which makes even less sense.

Yes, the irony and the NYSE is right there were George Washington was inaugurated and a site where the falun gong regularly hang out. It's disturbing to see the flag of the barbaric chinese gov't flying there -- but I guess not many people share that view.

You people seem to be forgetting that without the Chinese we wouldn't have a freakin' Chinese buffet on every street corner in the US. The real conspiracy as I see it is that it's that damned Chinese food, in particular those pan-fried dumplings, that will be the real conquering force by making us all bloated like a tick.

Have you ever tried those dumplings? They're like Lays potato chips........you can't eat just one. I eat those things like Paul Newman ate hard boiled eggs in

I guess no one here grasps the conspiratorial nature of the communist People's Republic of China, which we may very well be at war with soon, buying up our country to the point it's acceptable for its flag to fly on our nation's most important stock exchange?

When the aging and somewhat crazy communist members of the Chinese government die out then things will change. China is not really communist anymore. It is a capitalistic society with more rules and some bad secrets. Worse than the USA to be sure but they are actually doing the bad acts right out in the open like killing many of their own people.

You know that Chinese is the same and actually worse than the US in many respects. They repress religion and kill their own citizens in somewhat large numbers. They would not allow a society like Canada exists in their country.
