Eruption update:
Island in British Overseas Territory is growing in size

A rare volcanic eruption is expanding the size of an island in British Overseas Territory. This event is special because Montagu Island is mostly ice covered and it’s very rare that we get to make direct observations of eruptions under ice sheets’.

Thats pretty interesting find you got there. I wonder what they will do with all the extra land that is being made. Good find though keep up good work!

I doubt there is anyone living there and that the island has any commercial or industrial activity.

Its 2000 miles away from antarctica and normaly its home to penguins, seals and all sorts of invertabrae.
