Please explain to me, what, if anything, this has to do with starting a third world war.

This happens a lot in Israel. Probably at least every month or so. I agree. I fail to see how this is moving us closer to WWIII.

If world war III were to start, you are right, it could very well be over some incident that happens in Israel. A few rockets fired into Israel will always garner a few fired back. That's the way things seem to go there. But you are right in realizing that things can get "pretty messy" pretty quickly in Israel and throughout the Middle East. All it would take is for someone to be reactive -- very reactive -- and make the wrong move at the wrong time. Yes, indeed, WWW III could, possibly, erupt. But, as far as I can tell, it's business as usual in Israel, Lebanon and the rest of the Middle East -- tense.
