Woohoo, I got a shout out!! I'M FAMOUS!!
The Conet Project CDs were sold for a time after their release, and are still for sale, but at some point they were offered (legally) for free on the
net - though a few months ago, I did see a set of the original CDs go for over 55 bucks.

I believe that number station activities actually increased following the cold war, which is interesting. It may perhaps be worth mentioning that at
least some of the stations are used for and by drug dealers.
I find the
One-time pad method of encryption fascinating - this is the method of encryption used
by number stations, as Imperium mentioned, and, also as he mentioned, it is theoretically unbreakable. Upon attempted decyption, a four-letter code
could just as easily be decoded to read "KILL" as "SAVE," for example.
