If Jesus is god, then there is no idolatry involved.

If in our minds we equate an idol as being seperate from God's creation, then we do not know God is everywhere at all times.

Worshipping and holding reverence for any material object that in the mind of the observer has some aspect of it that God can not offer said observer.

it has nothing to do with that. Jesus's birth and death all have pagan elements in it. Are you aware that the mark the gospel writer didn't believe the virgin birth stories thats why the lineage from david is different.

No I am not aware of that, as I haven't the slightest idea of what the writer of the Gospel of Mark believed.

first of all there is no geneology in the gospel of Mark

the Talmud (a book you seemed to be a fan of in another thread) tells us that Mary's father was Heli

Luke's gospel was the geneology of Mary. (It says that Joseph is the son of Heli because the usage of the word "son" was appropriate when refering to a son-in-law).
Matthew's gospel is the geneology of Joseph.
