Was tricky dick scared of Israel SECRETLY amassing nuclear weapons ?.

To this day, Israel officially neither confirms nor denies its nuclear status and the actual size of its stockpile remains uncertain. But it has long been considered the only nation in the Middle East with atomic weapons

Can someone tell me why Iraq gets invaded for possibly having WMD (never proven) and Israel lies through there teeth to hide them(proven fact) ? after all we all know of Mordechai Vanunu.

Behold, they have them, they will not use them against their nighbour arabs now. Arabs are no more a threat to Israel now, they have been defeated, thanks to USA and the UN.

I have had a theory since Gulf War I that relates to the fact that Israel has nuclear weapons.
At the time of the war, Israel had signalled that "if" they were hit by chemical, nuclear or bio weapons they would retaliate against Iraq with nukes.
Actually, I "think" they hinted that "if" they were hit by Iraq..in any manner..they would nuke Iraq.
Anyway, for those of you who remember....about the second night of the war, Iraqui scuds hit Tel Aviv and the first indications proved that it "might" be chemical.
News reports were saying that the Israelis already had planes in the air to retaliate.
There was a great deal of fear and emotionalism for about 30 minutes on the tube.
Now, this we know for certain: During that time period, President Bush #1 DID call the Israeli Prime Minister and secured a deal whereby we would send Patriot missiles to Israel and Israel would hold off on attacking.
No one knows for sure if the retaliation, from Israel was going to be nuclear, but I suspect it was.
I also suspect that one of the reasons Bush #1 stopped the war so quickly was because Isreal was getting antsier and antsier over the continued attacks by Iraq and it was only a matter of time before they would retaliate . To forestall any chance of nuclear retaliation, Bush #1 ended the war. Of course, there are other stated reasons for ending the war, but I do believe the fear of Israeli nuclear retaliation played a bigger role than most of us realize.
Just my 2 cents and I maybe totally wrong.

And Israel has not publically admitted having nukes.
Is it an issue?
Is it a "LIE" because they have not? Hardly.
It is only an issue if some wish to make an issue of it. Correct?
At any rate, they were given nukes/allowed to have nukes for a reason.

Two different situations--Israel and Iraq, correct?
Iraq was sanctioned, while Israel was not.

Opps my mistake....i forget the golden rule...Israel can never do any wrong. Maybe they should put that in the ATS rules. Or is that like apples and oranges ?
