xanga or myspace?

how many of you have a myspace or xanga (or some other form of "advertising" for yourself? why do people make xanga's and myspace's? idk i think they are pretty ridiclious; all your doing is making an ad for yourself for more "friends." how much of that stuff is actually truthful? i mean no one is going to put their bad characteristics or anything like that. they are going to post what they think people want to hear. really i think things like myspace, xanga, the tv show swan (the show that remodled the "ugly" girls) and other various programs should be removed from the air becuz all they do is add to people's growing insecurities. what do you think?
