Denmark On Muhammeds Naughty List

In a joint letter to UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, the Muslim Organisation of the Islamic Conference (OIC) and Tajikistan ask for intervention, stopping the publication of “Tyranny of Silence”.

According to the Russian news agency Interfax, the Tajik Foreign Ministry “expresses anxiety over the fact that the Norwegian printing press Cappelen Damm plans to republish the book Tyranny of Silence in May 2011.”
“This book contains cartoons that blaspheme the name of the Islamic prophet,” the ministry says in a statement.

Tajikistan currently holds the presidency of the OIC, and all 56 Member States have approved the letter’s content.
“Tyranny of Silence” by Flemming Rose, former culture editor and now international editor of Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten, contains the cartoons of Prophet Muhammad that were originally published in 2005.

The gang planned to drive around Britain to make suicide strikes on various targets, the court heard.
The plot was reportedly drawn in revenge for cartoons of Prophet Mohammed that appeared in a Danish newspaper.
