Nygdan, you are correct if you believe that it would be at the least paranoid to think that Turkey would overnight turn into a superpower and pose a danger to the world, but the prophecy never claimed that, it's talking about an alliance with Turkey as the head state, notice how the nations named form a circular ring around Israel (perfect for a "all or nothing" final battle no?) There's quite a bit of debate over who is going to participate in this final battle, but since it would be ridiculous to include Russia in the list (for the reasons stated in the article) I think we can throw out any exotic scenarios other than a huge Muslim Caliphate instigating a war. Notice how the Greeks aren't included in the list- the primary power of the era after Medo-Persia, Babylon, and Egypt. I think this is significant.

I'm sorry, but it seems we are straying from the topic of discussion.

Tighten up, folks!

Are these riots still going on? It's so hard to tell with all of the news covering the real story, Fuddgate.

Oh, yeah, apparently 9 more were killed in Lybia yesterday in the burning of the Italian embassy, and there is now a $1 million bounty on the head of any cartoonist that depicts Muhammad.

Anyone ever see The Rules Of Engagement?

Of course, since it is all well organized.

The Majlis ash Shura of New York ( The umbrella alliance of New York area Muslims) is arranging a demonstration in front of the Danish consulate this Friday (February 17). We had a demonstration in front of the UN last Sunday. This campaign of protest will continue as a campaign of education for many more months to come

"We should portray these cartoons as anti-Muslim rather than anti-Islam. This will take away their hollow argument that it is freedom of expression to attack an ideology (considered progressive). Media are more vary of attacking a community as it is considered racist and not" progressive".

This is outside the Danish consulate in New York February 17, 2006:

Here you can see 12 more pictures of a blogger who went with his camera in NY:

And today, some thousand protesters are in GB again (but this is less fewer than the 100,000 protestors the organizers, the Muslim Action Committe had expected)

take this picture, put it in a picture editing program and draw the line under each line of the text...IT IS COMPLETELY STRAIGHT, which means someone edited the picture. The paper he is holding is tilted, the text is straight....hmmm

what is this page your giving us....
"The Voice of America, which first went on the air in 1942, is a multimedia international broadcasting service funded by the U.S. government through the Broadcasting Board of Governors. VOA broadcasts more than 1,000 hours of DISINFO.....

Bold accusation, nukunuku. The AP is now taking photos and doctoring them?

Look at all the signs, it doesn't look like they were written, they were produced via them printer things that are available in Washington D.C. (where the photos were taken, or rather where the AP claims the photos were taken).

Other than a straight line, what other evidence is there that the AP doctored photos today before publishing them?

what, do you think im stupid too?

Erm...I'm not going to answer that.

Why is the AP now doctoring photos?

well thats a good question

US government did admit to planting favourable stories into media outlets, i guess they want to stir it up dont they, i guess they consider messages like this favourable to their cause.

hey but what do i know, i can only guess

After all, it's the only explanation. The Associated Press is under lock and key by the Bush Administration and America in general, so naturally anything they publish is going to be faked to give anti-Americans a bad name.

Maybe it was aliens coming down doctoring the photos before the photographer could snap the shot?

Uh...Riwka, could you post the source of those photos? I've been looking around and haven't found any information about riots in Washington, nor protests. I still stand by the legitimacy of the AP, but had assumed that the photo you had posted and sourced to the AP was, in fact, from the AP. Yet, I can't find a single news story about this on any of the major news websites...

Staff warning:

If you ask that question one more time and someone gives you their totally candid and honest answer, any perceived insults will be your own fault.

what do you think christians would say if the new york times published an entire paper of printed ways to "take the lord's name in vain" and straight up offensive blasphemy against their religion?

just pages of creative expletives incorporating jesus and god.

now, to muslims, what they did in denmark is 13 times worse. the entire point of not depicting the prophet in islam was to keep people from viewing him as a god, which (in their opinion) had happened to jesus.

They alrdy do that .
there have been many threads on how Chritisanity is being taken out of the american soceity.

For those who don't know, if you right click on a pic and then click click on properties.
There, you can see what the url of the picture is.

Just curius has anyone shown any actual text / verses in the Koran /Quran

that show what exactly the Muslims are saying - as in your not allowed to depict Allah .

Ive heard a few Experts on Tv say , the Quran doesnt say that .

But ive also heard the Oppisite.

maybe its just a matter of interpretation.

The source on those pics was odd, as it went right to the pic (naturally), but truncating the URL resulted in a 404 for me. Hence the request for links

the first pic looks fake -- appears to show a black flag on a US gov building .

second pic looks ok .

both have a source of - us.news3.yimg.com...

Uh, yes, the pic is a "fake" and is not meant to depict an actually Islamic flag on the building NOW, but it is simply illustrating their intent.

I am sure they would not have done that if they thought it was going to be so confusing.

Arch Angel, could you do me a favor and notify the Department of Spontaneous Protest Sign Makers to keep the posters a bit simpler, please?

Thanks, buddy!
