Hmmm, not sure that I should be making this as my third post since you all don't know me yet. Ah well, best to jump in at the deep end, right?

I'm not even sure this is the right place to be putting it

I have experienced some pretty strange things in my life. I guess just lucky? I wanted to write down a few of the connected experiences here. I'm not claiming to know what they are. Maybe I am just nuts. I'm sure there are some very knowledgeable people on this site, so what I would love are your opinions on what my encounters might be.

*deep breath*

Over the years I have seen things. It's pretty rare that I see things. The encounters spread over my life are very few. Here are a few examples.

On walking home there suddenly appeared a large "werewolf" looking creature. He was only there for a few seconds and stood just looking at me before he vanished. I wasn't scared. Surprised, but not scared.

Another wolf encounter, again I was walking home when a very large wolf leaped at me then vanished. I was pretty surprised and jumped back with a shout.

A little side info: I have had quite a few dreams that involve wolves and wolf type humanoids. They are often just looking at me. I often have the sensation that they "want to tell me something" although they never do speak or indicate anything to me in any way.

I have seen a few other non-wolf type creatures. I have seen strange humanoid type creatues. The encounters are always the same. They are there for just a fragment, a breif moment, and then they vanish.

On a few other occasions I have seen other lands. Example: I was on a train and looking out the window. The ocean streched out vast, endless, and grey in the weak sunlight of the day. Out of the ocean stood four tall pillers of stone. Taking in this few for a few minuets before I realised... there IS no ocean here. The moment I realised the view vanished and was replaced with the normal view.

I'll explain the strangest experience I have, and I feel it's connected to the other experiences that I have had. I think this is a deeper version of the other experiences, and is part of my own personal theory.

I was standing at work when suddenly I was not at work any more. I was some other place. Not only was I in some other place, but I was some other person. I stood in a large field on a sunny day. In the distance was a forest. In a blink I was back at work, although the awhile the other place lingered. For awhile it was like I was in two places at once. My place of work seemed less real to me. The other place seemed so "REAL" I can't really describe it better than that, sorry. You know when you dream? You know it's a dream but this was so real. Even now when I look back on it the even is like a memory of something that happened.

Now, my own personal theory is this: I think that I might be able to see into "other places" and times. That's it really. It's not based on any reasearch, it's just my idea.

I have only ever told a few people this ( close friends ) over the years as obviously if you tell people this kind of thing they will either come to the conclusion you are A) nuts or B) lying.

Now I have shared it here with you all ( on the big wide web ) I'm looking foward to hear your opinions on my encounters. What are they ( if anything )? Am I nuts? Do I have an over active imagination? Can I see "other places" are they ghosts? Spirits? Angels? Aleins?... what?

It's been about 2 years now since I have seen anything. I'm kind of hoping that I see something again soon. I think I would be a little saddened if I went the rest of my life and never saw something so strange again.

Looking foward to all your views and opinions.

You've certainly had some interesting visitations. I'm sure it's difficult when others don't believe what you know you've seen.

You were brave to just jump in and post your experiences. Hopefully, others with more information than I will add their comments.

To my untrained mind, it seems you are experiencing more than one kind of activity.
Have you done any research into these types of events?

Thanks for reply

Brave? Thanks
Well, maybe not brave. Maybe just foolish

I haven't yet had people not believe me because I have only told 3 people that I am close to. Those people are very open minded, and also they know me very well.

I haven't ever looked into it. It's always something that I have just accepted. Before I found this forum I had no real idea where I would start to look. I have never heard any thing like this before. I am very curious to hear if somebody has heard of, experienced for themselves, or has some ideas on what it is that I have seen.

Most people don’t realize things are different than they seem. When I was a child I had an experience. I woke up one morning and I was awake for about 2-3 min in bed. Got up to go get my morning soda from the refrigerator. The hallway was about 3 feet wide and about 9 feet until the microwave stand in the kitchen. On the micro-wave was a meat thermometer. (The pointy ones used for meat). I had only walked 2 feet and it levitated and flew toward me. Thank god it just dropped right at my feet. I thought I was just dreaming so the first thing I did was pick it up and it was at my feet. So I placed it back on the micro-wave right were it was and checked to see if there was any explanation for what had happened. No windows open. No doors open. Nobody was using the micro-wave. Nobody in the family was close to it. I couldn’t explain what happened to this day but one thing I know is that it happened and I had my own evidence as I picked it up.

It's a strange position to be in when you have seen and/or felt something extraordinary. You know yourself what you have seen, and often you are a nation of one. It's just you that has seen and felt the thing. I do feel lucky that I have experienced something so unusual.

I think there are lots of very mysterious things in this world and MANY people experience them. I think there are a lot of people who are just not open to it. Their minds closed and they just refuse to accept what they have experienced. So really in a way, I think to see something "unexplained" is not as unusual as people often regard it to be.

I have been in some pretty weird situations before also, so I can believe your stories. I was just sitting around one day and my remote control on my TV just all of a sudden, decided to "fly" off towards me. Im not saying something was mad at me or anything like that. It was just the general direction that it was moving. But, it was on a TV, on a flat surface, and then it just all of a sudden launched at me. Another experience I have had was being home alone. I was listening to music and I heard what I thought was footsteps walking down the hall. My whole house is tiled and it is easier to hear footsteps. I came out and no one was to be found in sight. Same as when I was taking a shower, except this time I heard voices coming from the living room. I thought my grandparents had made it home, but after I got out of the shower, I walked in the living room, the kitchen, the office, to their bedroom, out side (to check for cars), and no one was home. There are alot of things that people can explain that most other people can't understand. It is because of the fact that it has not happend to them before.

Yes I have had strange encounters I can't explain.

lately I have had two Volcano dreams, so vivid so real and so different from anything I have ever experienced. The first one, I was standing on a mountain range looking at a whole series of volcanoes erupting down a range.

This was so real and me standing on top of the other mountain was so real. It was around the area where I live now but it looked different, uninhabited.

I was at a museum yesterday up on the highlands when I saw a place on the map called the seven sisters. I went into the information cente to ask them what it was and they told me that it was a series of volcanoes in a row that were active 450 million years ago. I looked at him and said, this was an inland sea then wasn't it? he looked and said yes it was actually and showed me an area where nearby that was the inland sea. I knew already for some reason I could picture it how it was. Then he showed me a film of the seven sisters, well a sort of film it was a second rate cartoon special effects thing in a tunnel to look like a volcano with lava running along for the kids. But what amazed me is that he lined the volcanoes up like in my dream. I am fairly new to the area and I had never heard of this before.

Other things have happened similiar that I have posted in other threads here in paranormal so i do understand what you are saying as I have often wondered if we hold the key to the memory of the gene in us that goes back to way dot. Perhaps those flashes are flashes of that memory. if you look at life in a non linear way, then the possibility that we also have the gene already to our future then we can harness memories of the future maybe in some way. Maybe when we dream we unlock part of our mind that we don't normally open.

An animal that is taken from it's mother instinctivly knows how to birth and raise kittens of her own. Even ones taken by caesarerian know instinctively how to hunt and how to reproduce. They hold that memory inside them. We don't tap into any of these as human beings. We rely on social stamping as we grow to learn behaviours.

The possibilities are there, they are endless but we don't investigate them deeply enough. When you do investigate, well your loopy and that's that.

A friend of mine has similar dreams. She says she dreams of places and things and then later sees them in the waking world

Hmmm Interesting
do you get a strange feeling when these things happen or do you feel normal?
I have a theory that could explain this and peoples feelings of Dejavu
There is not just our world but many worlds all slightly different not exactly parrallel dimensions more of a set of the same worlds operating at the same time.
When people get these visions and things what they are actually seeing is a view from a neighbouring world that has crossed momentarily into our reality.
This also accounts for dejavu as when we think we have done it before it was us but a different realities version of us that is one of many copies of the same person.

I dont know just a theory i had after i experienced a case of double dejavu

I feel normal when I experience thouse things. As I said, I like to think that I am seeing other worlds. It's an interesting and wondeful idea.

Not that many people know, but deja has had quite a bit of study poured on it.

From Wikipedia:

Scientific research

In recent years, déjà vu has been subjected to serious psychological and neurophysiological research. The most likely candidate for explanation, according to scientists in these fields, is that déjà vu is not an act of "precognition" or "prophecy" but is actually an anomaly of memory; it is the impression that an experience is "being recalled" which is false. This is substantiated to an extent by the fact that in most cases the sense of "recollection" at the time is strong, but any circumstances of the "previous" experience (when, where and how the earlier experience occurred) are quite uncertain. Likewise, as time passes, subjects can exhibit a strong recollection of having the "unsettling" experience of déjà vu itself, but little to no recollection of the specifics of the event(s) or circumstances they were "remembering" when they had the déjà vu experience, and in particular, this may result from an overlap between the neurological systems responsible for short-term memory (events which are perceived as being in the present) and those responsible for long-term memory (events which are perceived as being in the past). Neurophysiological specialist Stephanie Warn (based out of San Francisco) has dedicated research on the subject matter. Her current conclusion is that déjà vu is merely the brain pulsing at an exponential rate which causes a person to recall something he or she saw the moment before.
[edit]

Links with disorders

A clinical correlation has been found between the experience of déjà vu and disorders such as schizophrenia and anxiety, and the likelihood of the experience increases considerably with subjects having these conditions. However, the strongest pathological association of déjà vu is with temporal lobe epilepsy. This correlation has led some researchers to speculate that the experience of déjà vu is possibly a neurological anomaly related to improper electrical discharge in the brain. As most people suffer a mild (ie. non-pathological) epileptic episode regularly (eg. the sudden "jolt", a hypnagogic jerk, that frequently occurs just prior to falling asleep), it is conjectured that a similar (mild) neurological aberration occurs in the experience of déjà vu, resulting in an erroneous "memory".

Hmmm, kinda takes the magic out of it

Ah, anyway that is only a theroy. There is no accepted explanation for deja vu. It may very well be time slips or your brain seeing into other worlds that exist close to our own. Certainly, it seems VERY possible to me. Why not? We pretty much accept now in moden physics that other worlds are a reality.

Do I really see into other worlds? Is what I experience similar to deja vu? I guess it's impossible to say. I certainly hope that the explanation is nothing so mundane as my brain mis fires!
