His movie is "The Power of the Nightmares". Bet you haven't seen that one, right?
Why not? Because when he asked why no-one is interesed about distributing the movie in USA, the distributors told him, that they can't. If they do distribute it, they will be crucified...
So, other movies are okay, but this one is not? Why is that?
Guaranted, the movie is not any propaganda, not picking on americans. Yet still, it is not welcome to USA citisens to see...?
On the other hand, from Hollycrap one can see tons of movies, where one get quite tired of seeing allways the same scenario. USA = good ones, some unnamed smelly arab/middle east dictator = bad one. It is almost awfull boring to watch again and again that the USA/Israel could do no wrong and everything they do is in the best intentions for the rest of the world... Every time is american soldier portrayed as hero and the one that care and his enemies are the brutal, sadistic ones, that kill the innocent civilians and stuff...
Especially "conspirative movies" about JFK/911 and Iraq war is taboo.
Another taboo is the "antisemitic movies" that trying to question the jews way of handling palestinians...
So, are you guys saying that as long, as the movie did not offend anyone (eg. it did not contract the way USA and Israel if generaly portrayed), it is okay to show it and if it does upset people, then it is not okay to show it?

let me ask you one question american mad man....
have you seen it???
NO?
Well you are in no position to criticise it purely based upon what your right wing media has told you about it.
watch it, then come back and comment on it

American Mad Man - let's skip the harsh fouling of ours of something, that you have't seen and concentrate to your more productive parts of your post.
I never heard about one of these movies, and ShareTheFiles.com returned 0 (yep, zero) results of them, so it is almost like they did not exist. (tought IMDB list them well and they do exist)
And that is sort of the point - yet, movies showing the unpopular view are made, however nowhere near to be found. It is like movie "The World According To Bush" witch also does exist, but all I have is very low quality 480x356 pixels wmv version with forced encoded French subtitles
And I know one member of one forum, that has a DVD version of it, yet with his dial-up connection he can't share it, so...
To put it short, any movie that presenting the other, more close to reality IMHO, view of things are not baned by state, but baned by the "market" - eg. people deciding what will sell, and what will nto sell.
Nice example you presented itself. Yes, Fahrenheit 9/11 (witch I did not like that much, since Moore went too far to blame everything on Bush, while Clinton does the same in Kosovo war... so how these two are different in this case?!) made it to being in cinema here, but far more interesting, accurate and alerming Bowling for Columbine does not. Same for JFK, or Appocalypse Now - especially I love my Redux edition of this DVD, or course R1 and sort of "smugled in" since europe is R2 region and it is illegal to sold R1 DVDs there to TO this region
X-files? Come on, this is a funny show I used to watch one version and turned off TV when they explained desoleted street as if there passed a small black hole... As fun this could be taken, but Im still refuse to watch this, as Im not entierly physic-laws unaware
Um...You have no clue. Did you even read the words? You can say anything you want, thats your right. But its not a right to use any and all methods to say it. You DO NOT have the right to use TV to broadcast your rantings. If somebody who has the ability to broadcast chooses to broadcast your propaganda, then thats their right. But you dont have the right to have it broadcast.

Im sick of American double standards and hypocrisy. The Americans are allowed to play all the anti Iraqi, anti Islamic propaganda they like, the video stores are literally flooded with it but as soon as someone plays anti American propaganda, its terrorist and shouldnt be allowed to be played.
. Predictably though, it turned into an Anti-US fest, complete with obscure references to Oliver Nort
Syrian sister,
what exactly is at Guantanamo bay?

LOL, then why don't you extend that to FOX news network and their rantings?

Who are you to decide who has the right to say what and where and how?
So then Syria has the ability to have the film broadcast, and that's our right.
So then what is your problem?
And i was almost was going to decide not to watch that movie, thanks for the tip.
