huzzah, college! I'm a freshman this year at Adams State College, in Alamosa, Colorado. I'd like som advice from you ATSers that are former/current collegegoers. On a related topic......I wouldn't mind a few care packages (ramen noodles OWN!) But don't feel obliged to help. I'm basically just doing this to let people get to know me better, but.....what's a broke-ass college student gonna do, huh? Anyhoo, I stumbled across an account of Loki some time ago, and decided to keep the mischevious little SOB as sort of my patron saint. He's kept me safe from fire, so far, as well as helped me plan some good mischeif(put dirty socks in this guy's pillowcase who's room is across from mine, LOL)

that was a good prank. OH! not to mention that the big man has kept me from blowing my chunks from drinking too much, that's always a good help.....I dun wanna look like this.......

oh, yeah, and.................NO ONE EXPECTS.....THE SPANISH INQUISITION!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA

Can't say I remember it with all that much clarity

I can tell you one thing for certain. Your view of Ramen noodles will change by the time you get out. You will never want to see another packege of Ramen for the rest of your life!
Count on it.

Get an on-campus job. Don't join a frat but be friends with frat members so you can get into their parties for free beer & honies. Go to Rush Week only for the free beer & honies. Join a gym. Schedule your class in early afternoon and late afternoon to take care of hangovers.

But for now, They'll always have a home in my dorm....unless they start to give me the #s.......I've heard that they can do that. Sounds unpleasant.

There's only 1 frat at my school, the fuggin music fraternity. And their parties suck so much ass it isn't funny.

However, I don't usually get hangovers....it's cool like that. Last week i got so wasted I couldn't remember #. I woke up the next morning, and went down to the computer lab and played Firearms for a few hours. It was all good.

I remember that I lived on the ninth floor (15 floors) in the Towers on campus. You could see over all of North campus. I had the Punisher skull (like on my blog)on the window in blinking white Xmas lights---everyone on North Campus knew where I lived and when I was home. That was cool especially at night when the Towers were dark and black and all you could see was the Punisher skull blinking in the night.

If you actually remember college...you didn't go!

Seriously, never got so much tail in my life...(just kiddin' hon, if you're reading this!
)

No...I'm not...

Ramen Noodles...meal of champions...here's a great hint, fix two packs of Ramen noodles (chicken flavor), and then leave a little bit more water than usual... Then, mix in a packet of Lipton Chicken Noodle Cup-a-Soup and stir it up, wait about a minute or so... Damn...that's some good stuff, and damn cheap!

Yeah, there's a couple bars down here. They're pretty strict about liq to underagers, but the seniors are good about getting us the hookups. I'm usually buzzin pretty well by the time I hit the club, so, It's all good. I swear, alcohol is the greatest invention ever. It in and of itself bestowed upon me the ability to dance. It's amazing.

Hey, guys, thanks for the advice. I'll be sure not to get the credit cards.....For sure. Hey, this is just a suggestion, but........if anyone felt the need to say......send me a box of homemade cookies or something.....I wouldn't be adverse to it......U2U me......

Yeah I remember college. I'm still in it. Kind of. I just started Grad school this year at Syracuse.

I never had to eat Ramen in undergrad though. Being an only child and fairly well-off, I couldn't help but laugh at my roomate eating crappy Ramen while I went to Red Lobster.

There wasn't much "tail" at my old college, but here....it's everywhere. Not that it does me any good. I feel like a starving, toothless dog in a butcher shop.

Work full time and carry no less that 12 credits a semester. I was in IT ( computer operator ) & going for a Comp Sci degree, it can be done.
- Be a lover, not a hump & run...and you'll hump to your hearts content
- Smoke much weed & hash - drinking builds a tolerance & costs more the more you do it. You'll be real worlding it soon enough & won't have this option.
- DO NOT DO DRUGS! No debates about the above statement, K?
- Leave the Animal House respect for your studies to the bad teen movies....study every day
- attend class & build alliances for note share if you can't
- have a very good time! Because it will never be like this again!!

remember college? hell, I'm in my fifth year. so I guess I'll share some of my wisdom gained from being on this campus since the last century. (holy hell, that sounds kind of scary.) I'm assuming you're living in the dorms. in that case, always wear flip-flops in the shower (always), if your roomate is showing psychotic tendencies, don't be afraid to ask for a different one. moving your stuff is a pain, but it's a bigger pain living with someone who's completely out of their gourd. and don't drink too much. have fun, but don't be that kid who parties himself right out of university and returns home in disgrace to live with mom and dad and attend community college. do go to class, but don't buy all the books right away. look at the syllabus...if it doesn't look like it's going to be used often, hold off on buying it. also, lay off the ramen. people talk about the freshman 15, too much ramen and beer is where it comes from. and, of course, have fun
