"A rodent the size of a buffalo? Researchers say they have found fossils for a 1,545-pound giant that thrived millions of years ago in a swampy South American forest."

Who knows if that was just its grave-site, and the thing is still running around under ground with the Lizard people and hiding in holes eating Annacondas out of their nests!

Hehehe. Just a thought.

What a cute pet they would make, and free lawn mowing for your neighborhood.

I found the continental bump / Panama conjunction theory interesting. The south-migrating jaguars of the day would have found this new food source too easy.

Wow, that would the scariest thing to have ever existed. I would rather have a T-rex after me then a buffalo sized Guinea Pig.
