i am sorry if this has been discussed . I work for a very large company who is giving out free flu shots next week. I have never had a flu shot before and always get sick around the holidays. I just read the other day that the government is putting some micro computer chip in the shots. Anyone hear of such a thing

That is a new one on me.
The only thing of recent note in regards to the flu shots is:
1) In TX. Doctors are already staring to run out.
2) A week ago 1000 Exxon employess were given "purified water" at the health expo that Exxon ran.

So, long story made short, make sure you are getting what they are advertising

Where did you read this?

My town is out.

I don't do flu shots and I don't get sick because I take herbs. I haven't had a cold or flu for 10 years. I especially don't trust the flu shots this year. I haven't read anything serious about microchips, but I just don't trust corporations or gevernment any more. But that's me.

Each person has to decide for themselves. You couldn't pay me to take it.

If you do get sick each year, you might want to have one. If you're in certain risk groups (like my husband and I are) == heart disease, diabetes, infant in the house, around school kids (etc) == you might want to have one.

And no, the "government" putting "microchips in the shot" is, well, it's beyond silly. The SMALLEST chip we have is about 1 1/2 the size of a rice grain. So imagine how BIG that shot needle would have to be to be able to slip something the size of a rice grain into your body.

I have gotten a good chuckle over the microchip in the flu shot scheme. The 27 gague needle used to inject most vaccines is pretty tiny. Coupled with the fact that it would show up on CT's, MRI's and plain old Xrays would lead to its discovery. ER docs start finding chips in peoples shoulders and questions start getting asked and it would unravel pretty quickly.

Keeping on topic, I hope...

What is the difference between a traditional "needle in the arm" shot, and some kind of intranasal shot? At my National Guard drill this weekend, they were offering shots, but they were intranasal. Not sure if something was sprayed, or if a needle went up the nose...I steered clear of the shot.

I believe that this is a nasal spray. The nasal cavity has a good capiliary network and can absorb very easily. It is also a route directly into the lungs, which are also very absorbant.

I can't really see the point of someone shoving a needle up my (rather large) hooter. It has no advantages to a standard IM jab. If you wanted to go for a good capiliary network, then the earlobe is just as effective and a lot more pleasant.

You mean flu shots are real? I thought that someone would have posted that they were part of a Grey genetic manipulation project to get us ready to become cattle.

Seriously I got mine yesterday. If you work in an office environment get a flu shot, otherwise it is just a matter of time before you get the flu.

Bull, Jim.
I have to be in close proximity to filthy little disease carriers (humans) at work, and I haven't caught the flu in decades. Right now, the common cold is dragging everyone down, and I am walking through the mine field unscathed.

The secret? Exercise, eat good, balanced meals, drink spring water, take good vitamins, and at the beginning of the cold/flu season, take Echinacea.

Every other year or so, I will go out of my way to catch a cold. Why? Because I read that people who catch colds are less likely to get cancer. I don't know if that is faulty deduction on someone's part, but I figure it doesn't hurt.

Now that I've said this, Jim, watch me get the flu this year!

I don't know if that makes you better or worse Thomas. Maybe better in that you don't get sick and worse in that you are probably just a carrier without having to pay the penalty. If you want to look into something interesting I never got the flu untill I had to get the mandatory flue shots in the Navy. After that every year that I haven't got the shot I've gotten the flu. Maybe there is something to this genetic manipulation thing.

so what is the profit for them to do so? Where is the carrot- so to speak, if the rfid is in the vaccine? I don't see it as a cost -effective way to track anyone- unless it is on your credit card........

the govt. isn't going to waste it's money on tracking poor slobs like you and me. They are probably after bigger fish-

on the other hand, if they know who has the shot, they can do some of what advertisers do- it's called demographics. They are statistics on the type of people in an area targeted for certain marketing techniques. hmmmmm Now where is the motive for them to know what the demographics are in a certain area??????

Within days of reading this thread I have received 2 letters and for the first time ever a phone call and recorded message from the V.A. telling me to stop in for a flu shot. When I have called to renew or reorder a prescription, there is a recording and if speaking to a live person, I am told to come by for a flu shot.... I am concerned very much about this now. They have never seemed to be this concerned about my life threatening conditions enough to call me except on follow ups after being hospitalized or day surgery procedures. _javascript:icon('

The intranasal vaccine is a "live" virus where the injection flu vaccine is a "killed " virus". The nasal application is not recommended for those in certain health categories like diabetics and people with lung disease.

As I've said before on these forums the government has less costly and more effective ways to kill or do whatever dastardly deed they want to do to us.

I Get the flu hot every year.

I just got off the phone from talking to a friend that started the conversation by saying he had the flu. I had just posted here and so of course I asked if he had gotten his flu shot and when did he if he had. He said, yes last Friday.

An MD did a retrospective study and found that people 65 and over who got flu shot 6 years in a row had an increased rate of Alzheimers of 1000%. (10x increase)

If you have a couple hours to spare someday and a long attention span I would recommend this video presentation of a theory behind the bird flu and vaccinations in general. video.google.com...#
