Judge Dred

Hasn't anyone noticed the strange familitarties to the NWO and the movie Judge Dred (if thats how you spell it)

I mean, the police guys are Judges, excecutioners, etc... all in one, and all the religious ones are banished out of the cities, and all criminals, no matter what crime they commited are all treated the same, hasn't anyone noticed this...?

similarities between the world of Dredd and fears of a new world order are simply genre paranoia.

we worry about a police state, we worry about thought crime, we percieve totalitarian dictatorships running our lives and these fears generate fictions like the one you mentioned spawned from cultural paranoias like the concept of a NWO.

this is true because the people who still challenge the new order were living underground and society was completely control. like a control environment in a lab experiment.

Judge Dredd?

Uhmm... do you know just how old that comic is? If you want a real giggle, Da Judge first appeared in 1977 in a comic strip entitled "2000 AD".

This post is essentially dead, but I really liked Judge Dredd. I felt like I could see a fragment of the future when I read the comic in the late 80's. Judge Dredd was like an anti-hero who played the role of true hero. If you were a guilty citizen, by breaking laws, then you were judged and condemned to the decree of the guy who pulled you over. While it is not this way in the United States, in terms of proper due process, I do believe that law enforcement does apply more than a little bit of judgement in its application of upholding law.

Question:

Are laws designed to create situations where keeping to the law is not possible?

That's an unfortunate outcome of trying to control humanity with non-thinking written statements.

The law is the law breaks itself when it tries to meet all needs.

So are police judge jury and executioner?
