Three men suspected of international terrorism have been arrested after raids on addresses in London and Kent.
One suspect was detained in Shepherd's Bush and another in Chatham, Kent, at 2200 BST on Friday. A third attended a London police station voluntarily
All three are being questioned by anti-terror police in central London, and three houses are being searched.
The Metropolitan Police said the arrests were not connected to bomb attacks on London in July.
All three men, aged in their early 20s, have been detained on suspicion of the commission, preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism under the Terrorism Act 2000.
The Met Police said addresses in Chatham and Shepherd's Bush, along with a third in the Paddington area of west London, are being searched.
No hazardous materials have yet been found, a police statement added.
