It was swamp gas. Quite common in these parts...

Man real wierd. That was loud! Neighbors are up, and it's 3am. I hear sirens, though not swarms of them. Could have been a construction accident? Oh wait, more sirens now....Going back outside.

K, phew, sirens have calmed back down now. I guess was nothing serious? At least I hope so. Man that boom almost shook my house it was that loud. Sounded like a bomb. Guess we may hear something tomorrow. Very sorry people, but for a minute there, I was really worried.

When I was young, a propane tank at a condo exploded. It was almost a mile away but we heard it.

It never made the Tv news, but it was in the paper.

It could have been a transformer that blew.

I remember one time a few years back one blew right outside of my house while I was getting out of my car. Scared the living crap outta me.

Yep, any of the above it could have been. I have listened to some radio, and nothing about it mentioned, at least that I have heard. I figure by now someone would have said something if it was that important.
