Security Guard Class

I had my first class tonight, wow! I don't like to call it, but I think I am going to be in the top of the class. Because of that fact...
About 10 people. HALF of them have felonies records/convictions (So there goes half the class) They talked about their felonies OPENLY!! Domestic Violence, drug possession with intent to distrubute, Assault with a deadly weapon/attempted murder, assault and battery on a police officer.
The instructor told us, if you have any felony convictions with in the last 10 years, you might want to thing of a new line of work.

Then the course is taught at what I believe a 8th grade level. I want my money back, but I wouldn't get this certification.

I just applied to the sheriffs dept. myself.
Im hopeful that I'll get in. I know what you mean about some of the applicants. here's hoping we both make it through.

I'm on campus patrol. It's fun. Not security, but we check buildings, and basically serve as ears and eyes for security for suspicious individuals, consent checks, fights, etc. Very fun.
