Question about the Clint Eastwood Avatars

I've taken notice at how the majority of ATS Moderators carry some adaptation of a Clint Eastwood "unforgiven" avatar. What gives exactly? How does the image of gun slinging cowboy holding a concealed firearm provide support to the victims of Hurricane Katrina?

My intentions are not to disturb the ATS bee's hive, however, I am wondering why it has gathered so much support over something that could be perceived as being highly controversial?

It's to support amuk... there are like 20 threads on it.. but none of them say clitn eastwood so I don't blame you for the whole duplicate threads thingy....
