I am US Navy retired. I served with many gays, both male and female. They were just sailors to most of us.

The military needs to stop worrying about who is screwing who. If you signed a 4 year contract, then you do your 4 years. By the time people are old enough to join, they should know whether they are gay or straight. "Coming out" is a very old tactic used to get out of a military contract. These people were not drafted. A contract is still a contract.
