The North "promised to drop all nuclear weapons and current nuclear programmes and to get back to the Non-Proliferation Treaty as soon as possible and to accept inspections" by the International Atomic Energy Agency

news.bbc.co.uk
North Korea has agreed to give up all its nuclear activities and rejoin the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, Chinese and Korean news agencies say.
At the same time, the US is said to have given an undertaking that it has no intention of attacking North Korea.

The breakthrough came during a fourth round of six-party talks in Beijing aimed at ending a three-year standoff over North Korea's nuclear ambitions.

There is no decision on whether to give North Korea a light-water reactor.

This is good news for china and US and Japan and so on who have been trying to get this result for ages for months to get the north korean goverment to take this step.

Lets see how long this lasts and how it takes for them to go back on those words

This story is kind of null and void now that N. Korea has reneged on the deal.
