ATTN: William idea for the board

It came to my attention the other day that it would be really interesting to have a specific forum that would focus on one topic per week. During this week a leading professional on a particular subject (ie crop circles, UFO's, Seismic activity, politics, etc...) would answer questions regarding this topic.

It would require active recruitment of professionals to contribute for one week. I think that some professionals might enjoy the discussion and might increase professional interest in your site.

Just an idea.

Hmmm, sounds like a variation of the Research Forum, in a good way......I like it, nice thinking.

But to be accepted, I think it must face the opinion of Family Fortunes/Family Feud:

But seriously, I think this idea should be considered, it would be useful and less demanding perhaps than the Research Forum.....

Would professionals be enhancing their professional reputation by participating in ATS interrogations (I mean, Q & A sessions)?

And as professionals, would they carry an expectation of being remunerated?

my idea was much simpler than that I think. The professionals would simply make themselves available to answer questions on specific topics related to their field of expertise.

I doubt the professionals would truly enhance their reputation by participating here, but they may also gain insight from some of our very intelligent posters.

As for remuneration, I would hope that they would participate free of charge in order to enhance interest in their field.

It sounds like a great idea. We just need the arguments to be kept to a minimum. Believers vs non believers etc. It would just turn into a bloodbath without some close moderation.

One month would be good, but I think as some experts may not be members and may not have time to correspond regularly for a month, one week would be a good start. This is all fine print though, I haven't heard from any mod's or admin regarding this idea.

This would be less of a discussion than regular forum threads, thus there would be no arguments. It would be a simple answer and reply then on to the next question. I think this is the only way it would really work well, but obviously more thought would need to go into it if William feels it's a good idea.
