Human mutilation = Donors?

Ok, lets say that aliens actually pick people up on occation and "mutilates" them, thus cutting out some of their parts, lets look at the possible reasons for it.

My suggestion is that it is becuase they use the human as unvoluntary organ donors. It may be that there are humans up there (points to the sky) living among the aliens that sometimes need new organs, it is also a possiblility that other alien races can use these organs as well.

Anyone have any other suggestions, or arguments on this?

I definitely disagree. Are we to believe that a race of advanced beings in possession of technology beyond our current reach that allows them to fly, in all probability, millions of light years need to drop down to Earth on occasion and snatch a dairy farmer and harvest his organs?



I would assume a species as advanced as we believe them to be would have the ability to generate organs without snatching and mutilating.

it might be simpler to just snacth some instead of making them, the distance may not take so long for them to cross with wormholes and such.

So...are we to assume that beings that can access "wormholes" find it easier to snatch an occasional human than develop a technology that would allow them to be self-sufficient?

Once again...doesn't pan out. It would be akin to a farmer hopping in his car and driving 50 miles from his home to sneak into another farmer's barn and milk his cow instead of buying his own cow.

Then what is your suggestion for aliens mutilation humans? It is not uncommon for western organ thiefs to be hired to snatch organs from people in poor countries like India and the like, what is your reasoning for it not being possible for aliens if the travel is as easy?

Might be a possibility that aliens would find it easier to harvest human organs than develop their own plentiful supply. Possibly they need samples to create a supply?

If memory serves, while the artificial heart was being developed, surgeons would use pigs(?) hearts to keep the patient alive. (Might have been some other animal.)
