apple service in the states

I switched to the mac earlier this year after ages of using them at school and have been left a little stumped by the service here in Australia.So my question to people within the USA is. Is the service as good as i here it is over there?I ve heard from a a family friend visiting oz that most applecare customers get treated like human beings as opposed to me having to wait over three weeks for onsite service and being treated like an idiot in my last phone call.

or is it a case by case basis?

well i would never touch a mac with a 20 foot pole. sorry. but i have had good customer service expierences with the people who built my computer.

i would have stuck with the pc but i guess i was in "awe" of the imac's design at the time.Problem here is these local computer shops which custom build machine's are ultra shifty so i wouldnt trust them. its a pity i cant get osx on a standard pc
