Read some of the Old Testament and you will find a god that is jealous, murderuous, unjust, acts on a whim and sometimes a total psychopath. He is like that dad that drinks too much, wakes up pissed with a hangover and starts to beat his wife and kids to feel better, then he explains why he did such things and everything is now ok again. Makes you wonder how poeple fared and lived 3000-4000 years ago.

But save the wine and the oil! Yes sir , want some bread with that ?

I've heard him called a 'Deadbeat Dad'.

Someone who makes a ton of kids but then doesn't take an interest in their well being and doesn't provide for their safety or welfare.

My personal opinion .. He appears to be kinda fickle.
But I suppose I'll learn the reasons why it looks that way after I'm dead.

god isnt a deadbeat dad, We are terriable children.When your father says not to play with fire,and you do and burn the house down,is he wrong to punish you?
If your father has the power to raise you from the dead,or give you eternal life,how is death final or a final punishment?
The child always thinks the parent punishes them to hard,but the father knows best,as the child will see when he becomes the father.

Fire will fall from the sky and will wipe out a great part of humanity, the good as well as the bad, sparing neither priests nor faithful.

To me these are despicable scare tactics to get us to follow their religion. And even the one I quoted shows how downright evil their religion, and ultimately their god is. Damned if you do, damned if you dont.

If a god would allow humans to do all this stuff... to suffer the way we do, he is downright evil. I feel sick just thinking about this... we are all screwed. We never had a chance in the first place, and the odds are stacked against us, and we get punished for it.

Most of these prophecies are based upon older prophecies, particularly from the bible. But I also believe they are from other sources such as people who are planning this. Time travellers perhaps, or a god of some description, or agents of a Secret Society beyond what we know. I have no idea on how reliable these prophecies are. Are they really as old as claimed? Or has some hoaxer made them up as a joke? I sure hope so... but even if they are, I fear nuclear holocaust, which is clearly described in some of these prophecies, is merely a case of when.

Where is the compassion? Where is the love?

People like you can't have it both ways. You curse what you don't understand... try looking at it differently. You care not to investigate, so you cling to your very limited understanding. Why do you complain when you think it is a joke? You fear nuclear holocaust, which would be man-made, and yet still cling to man's ideas. God's ideas are not man's. You should have some fear - fear is the beginning of wisdom.

If you think about these fires as gods will,to purge the earth. Then wouldnt it happen during or after the anti christ falls?

Bumping up some old threads ... cuz' I'm bored with what's on the forums now. Anyone have any more informatino on Fire and purification prophecies? Dates? Think it goes hand in hand with the Three Days of Darkness prophecies of Garabandal?? etc etc?? Anyways ... BUMP
