Since the idea of this happening is becoming a reality, I cant get it off my head.

Any predictions? If Korea and the U.S. go to war, what do you think will happen? In terms of the battles, politics and the final outcome.

Cockroaches would take the place of homo sapiens as dominant species on this planet.

It's a terrible thing that could happen.

There would be a very high possibility of nuclear weapons be used by both sides.
Hopefully this situation is dealt with diplomacy. (which is rare in these days)

Come on man you know who will win. The good old USA. I believe the North Korean military is not really that much of a threat. They may have a cannon that can launch nuclear weapons though.

Here is the cannon I was talking about.

203mm self-propelled gun
It was reported in 1995 that a program to develop 203mm self-propelled howitzer had been in progress for several years, with a prototype tested in 1995. The system is based on a Chinese copy of the M107/M110 chassis with a domestic 203mm gun and lifting mechanism. The weapon can fire standard NATO 203mm ammunition types, along with an extended range full-bore base-hollow high-explosive (ERFBHB HE) projectile with a range of 24 miles, and a base-bleed (ERFBBB HE) projectile with a range of over 30 miles. It is claimed to be compatible with submunition projectiles, such as anti-tank mines and terminally guided, nuclear, biological or chemical warheads. As of 1999 there was no indication that this project had moved beyond the prototype stage.

Specifications
Max Road Speed 55 km/hr
Weight 28,500 kg
Range 24 miles / 40 km = extended range full-bore hollow-base(ERFBHB)
30 miles / 50 km = extended range full-bore base-bleed (ERFBBB)
Ammunition high-explosive
submunition projectiles
anti-tank mines
terminally guided
nuclear, biological or chemical

I think MA summed it up pretty well. Of course it is possible that human kind will still be around with the cockroaches since I think there is a good possiblity that some people will be left living after a War is over. But a large part of the earth will be poisoned and unhabitable for a few thousand generations.(This is of course assuming that it goes nuclear/chemical/biological.)

Also, IMO there are no winners in War.

The thing with big cannons, is they cant move, cause if they do, then the army knows about it. And the rest is self-explanatory.

Hahaha, does North Korea have any oil resources?

North Korea has some oil resources.. not much but some.. i think..

That was on one US intel map.

Anyhow.. if they dont have oil they will get it from China and Russia.. [fuels].. and also if the shooting starts China will again provide volunteers.. and Mogolia and Russia also.. (in Russia there is plenty asian looking people actually..)

And the bulk of Russian forces may also join in if it seems that US is getting the upper hand cause i dont think that Russians are quite happy with US precence at the NK area as that is SO DAMN CLOSE TO THEIR pacific fleets installations, and missile sites.

US presence in (north) Korea is like Russians still had Alaska or they had invaded the Canada.. not a thing that US would "love"..

You do remember that the whole ALASKA belonged to Russia but the greed of money made the TSAR to sell it to the US in 1867.. Just after US civil war.. damn Stalin and Lenin were angry at the TSAR after that.. i would think that this was one reason why they were all shot.. as SELLING ALASKA was the final # up, a act of treason and greed.. strategic mistake after wards as we know this.. the frontline of the cold war would have been in ALASKA if the TSAR hadnt sell it..

So the US and USSR had to settle for the next best thing: EUROPE..

Note to the above..

for 7.2 million $$$...

ALASKA is today worth 1000s of billions $$$

As all that gold / other minerals and oil has been found there..

Stupid, stupid TSAR..

And actually the US and Russia would most likely be today more like Canada and US as communists are gone and they "nearly have a common land border"..

But this was not to be..

And about NK.. the outcome: lots of suffering to US / KOREAS.. maybe Taiwan, China, Japan and even Russia..

ww3 it at hand.. prepare yourself to the nuclear winter..
