its rare to see the national news showing dead bodies however i saw one by ABCnews showing a dead black man floating next to a fence. another guy dont know the color since hes wrapped up by towels and blankets. but i be mad as hell if somebody decided to take pics and show it on the internet just to make a political statement without a family or relative's permission. imagine seeing yer son or daughter rottened on the internet. do we really need to see such things. its not war, but maybe sombody say how dangerous hurricanes are and stuff and how the govt didnt respond fast enough. but u cant tell wen the bodies die in that devastation.

On Fox News Shepard was standing on a bridge with a dead body only a few feet away as people drove by..... So pictures of dead bodies are already on National TV.

I suppose I should mention the 1400 doctors Castro offered are very well trained and 60% of them are experts in disease situations. With time spent in Africa and lots of time in South America...their help could be valuable.

Of course FEMA would have to accept the help. They are supposed to note their assets and manage their coodinated efforts. Instead they would rather turn away assets and confuse various efforts.

I thought it was up to the State Dept. to accept the offers. Regardless, they probably get their input from FEMA anyway.

Re pictures of the dead: Sure, let's forget dignity for our fellow man. We need those pictures of bloated bodies right now, so that we can ...uh...get an accurate count. Yeah, that's the ticket! We need to count them for historical accuracy. We can't trust the doctors and emergency personnel to give us a count. They're all part of a conspiracy. And we can't wait another day, till the work is done, to stop pointing fingers, either.

I wanna see baby Amy's bloated tongue hanging out, so I can count it.

For those who can't wait for their dose of ghoul food, ogrish probably has pictures.
