I found this article quite interesting.

Its a perfect ATS style piece of writing.

www.edmontonsun.com...

I've never been a big believer in conspiracies, but my view is changing somewhat when it comes to the price of gasoline.

I'm almost starting to firmly believe there's a conspiracy by some powerful oil executives to gouge consumers at the pumps.

...

We all know our gasoline prices at the pump are based on the world price of oil - and that commodity is sky-high these days.

But just a couple of days after the deadly hurricane knocked out a pile of key oil refineries in the U.S., we got slammed with a massive hike at the pumps in Edmonton?

...

You'd think that most of the fuel people were buying at the pumps in our town was refined quite some time ago. So why should gas go up so quickly?

Doesn't it always seem that gas rises right away when there's a boost in the price of a barrel of oil? But the prices at the pumps sure don't quickly plummet when the cost of a barrel of oil goes down.

You don't have to be much of a cynic to feel we're simply getting gouged by those oil companies whose executives will use any excuse to jack up their already massive profits.

There is plenty more to the article. Its a fun read.

This is basically the kicker.

What is the explanation for that?

Easy, 3 possible answers to that

1. The gas station operatiors know that gas may become hard to come by soon, so they try to maximize profits
2. The price of oil is higher, and the station manager needs to save up to buy more gas
3. pinsert politition here] needs a new yacht to enter into a race, and doesnt want to enter a boat twice (steriotype) just like women need a new dress for an event, cos apparently taboo to wear the same thing twice, ever,) just saying steriotypes there
