Linking to previous dreams...

Over the past two or three years I've noticed that my dreams sometimes reference previous dreams I've had. For example, I might find myself driving down a backroad and I'll come across a swimming hole I had visited in a dream a few weeks earlier. There's a general feeling of "Oh, yeah, I remember going there!" and in my dreamstate I realize it's from another dream.

I find this usually occurs in dreams of a calm, soothing or fun nature. Very seldom do I recall this happening in a nightmare. Has anyone else experienced anything like this before?
